Specimen
Type: Serum or Plasma (Lithium Heparin)

Container/Tube
Type: Gold Top or Lt. Green Top.

Collection
Instructions: Baseline, 30 minute, and 60 minute Corisols are drawn. These are time sensitive based on the time the ACTH is given to the patient. They must be drawn on time or the test is considered invalid.

Draw tube and label appropriately.
Allow Gold top tubes to clot for 30 minutes. Spin tubes within 2
hours.

Note: Hemolyzed Specimens are
not acceptable.
